Hadrianapolis Ancient City
Eskipazar, Karabük

It is dispersed on the site called 'Viranşehir' and the land around it, 3 km west of the center of Eskipazar district in Karabük Province. It is a living space established in the 4th century in the Roman period. This habitat was discovered in 2005. Many historical remains were found during the excavations. An important feature of the mosaics with female, male, animal and fruit figures is the personification and names of the four rivers in heaven according to the Christian belief. Such a composition has not yet been encountered in Anatolia.
