The ancient city called "Paphlagonia Hadrianoupolis" is today located within the borders of Karabük province, Eskipazar District, 3 km west of the district center of "Viransehir" and the area scattered on the surrounding land; it covers the villages of Budaklar, Buyukyayalar, Çaylı and Beytarla. Today, the ruins of the ancient city are concentrated in Budaklar Village and Hacı Ahmetler District. Since 2003, surveys and excavations in the ancient city of Hadrianoupolis, hadrianoupolis other as Paphlagonia in the placement of a central region, and expanding in this region have shown that spreading around the area. Excavations of 5 structures were completed in the ancient city of Hadrianoupolis.

Safranbolu Big Goztepe Tumulus
Goztepe tumulus or Gümüş tumulus, known by its name by the inhabitants of the region, is located on a hill dominating the historical region within the borders of Ismetpaşa District Dec.The protected height of the Great Goztepe tumulus is about 20 m. its diameter is 100 m. Is. The first works in Goztepe tumulus started in 2011. In the center of the tumulus is a circular room with a diameter of 15 M, made with dry knitting technique. The inside of the burial chamber, which is in the form of a tholos (domed and round grave), was filled with Earth. The burial chamber has been destroyed many times by tunnels opened by illegal diggers. Therefore, no finds were found in the burial chamber. But small ceramic fragments unearthed in the burial chamber were found in the middle Phrygian Tomb (m.P 8-7.century) was found to belong to the period. Although the Tomb architecture does not reflect the traditional Phrygian Tomb architecture, it reveals that the tomb belonged to a local Noble who lived during this period.
A total of 17 graves and 24 human skeletons were unearthed in an area of about 100m2 on the summit and slopes of the tumulus. In order to bring this region to tourism and to create new alternatives, a project was created under the name of Hacilarobası Region Cultural Road.
